What class should I take?

First, take Orientation. To get started at Montgomery Community Media, you must first attend the Orientation. It is designed to give community members a better understanding of Montgomery Community Media services and will help you figure out what class would be best to take next. It is also the prerequisite for all Core Classes.

How much are classes?

It varies depending on the class. Please see individual class listing for exact pricing.

When are the classes held and how many sessions?

It varies depending on the class. Montgomery Community Media has both weekday and weekend classes. The weekday classes are in the evening and there are morning and afternoon classes on some Saturday.

I already have a background in television production. Do I still need to take the classes?

Depending on your skill level, you may be eligible to take an equivalency exam to become certified in a specific area.

Do I have to be a Montgomery County resident to take classes?

No, you do not need to be a Montgomery County resident take our classes. You do need to be a Montgomery County Resident to  produce content using MCM facilities and equipment.
