1. Purple Line Challenge: Opponents of the Purple Line transit project are back in court today to request a restraining order to halt construction on the light-rail project.

2. Coffee with a Cop: Meet 4th district (Wheaton) police officers at Westfield Montgomery food court for a cup of coffee and conversation from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

3. Gaithersburg Challenge: Elected officials and city of Gaithersburg staff participate in a workshop presented by Bloomberg’s Mayor Challenge. The goal is to help develop, test, and implement innovative solutions to city challenges. The public is welcome to attend and observe, details may be found here.

4. Homework Help: Montgomery County Public Schools online homework help begins today from 6 to 9 p.m. Also, Aspen Hill Library will have teen volunteers available to help children in Kindergarten through 8th grade from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

5. In the Heights: Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first Broadway musical coproduced by Olney Theatre Center and Round House Theatre opens tonight on Olney’s mainstage. Many performances are sold out!
