1. Preparedness Fair: Johns Hopkins University’s Montgomery County Campus sponsors an emergency preparedness fair to encourage families, businesses and communities to be ready for emergencies.

2. Online Discussion: County Executive Ike Leggett holds an online town hall meeting from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. County residents may submit questions to Leggett before and during the session, here.

3. Montgomery College Town Hall Meeting: Dr. Pollard holds a town hall meeting on the Germantown Campus at 2 p.m. Watch the webcast here.

4. Master Plan of Highways & Transitways Community Meeting: Learn about proposed changes to county roads and transit at Montgomery Planning’s fourth public meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Upcounty Regional Services Center.

5. Whole Foods Community Giving Day: Whole Foods Market donates five percent of today’s net sales to the Montgomery Parks Foundataion to benefit Brookside Gardens.

And one more thing, the Long Branch senior Center celebrates  23 years of serving the community from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.  with music, exercise and lunch.
