‘Gotta Melt It All’: Rockville Kids’ ‘Snowkémon’ Art Wins Snowplow Design Contest

Snowkémon may be plowing your street when the area has its next snowfall.

Montgomery County Department of Transportation held a contest for middle schoolers to design and paint a snowplow.

Taking top honors were students at Redland Middle School in Rockville, who named their design Snowkémon. It’s guaranteed to do a great job, because its mission is “Gotta melt it all.”

Taking second place were students at Westland Middle School in Bethesda, who created a snow hungry Plowser.

In third place was the Winter Warrior, which was designed and painted by John Poole Middle School in Poolesville.
