MCPS Facilities Will Be Closed During Winter Break

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) announced the closure of all school facilities during winter break to give thanks to all MCPS staff for their work through the pandemic.

Licensed childcare and pre-approved community use in schools will not be changed. Any questions should be directed to childcare providers.

Staff coverage of community events is on a voluntary basis and cannot be guaranteed. Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF) will be working with MCPS to secure staff.

CUPF will no longer approve reservation requests from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3. They will continue to accept them any days before and after with a minimum seven-day notice.

To cancel an approved permit for Dec. 23 to Jan. 3 can be found here. The cancellation fee will be waived if the request is sent before 5 p.m. on Dec. 18.
