2022 MCPS High School Graduations to be Held In-Person

For the first time in two years, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will be holding high school graduations in-person this June with no COVID-19 restrictions. Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, graduations have been held virtually or outdoors at a school’s home stadium.

June 1:

• Sherwood High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Walter Johnson High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Wheaton High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Poolesville High School at Mount St. Mary’s – 10 a.m.

June 2:

• Stephen Knolls School at home – 10 a.m.
• Damascus High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Montgomery Blair High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Springbrook High School at University of Maryland Baltimore County – 10 a.m.
• Quince Orchard High School at University of Maryland Baltimore County – 2:30 p.m.

June 3:

• Paint Branch High School at University of Maryland Baltimore County – 10 a.m.
• RICA (John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents) at Wootton High School auditorium – 9 a.m.

June 6:

• Col. Zadok Magruder High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Seneca Valley High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Walt Whitman High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Clarksburg High School at Mount St. Mary’s – 10 a.m.

June 8:

• Northwest High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Winston Churchill High School at home – 9 a.m.

June 9:

• Richard Montgomery High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Gaithersburg High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Blair G. Ewing Learning Center at Blake High School (time is TBD)

June 10:

• Longview School at home – 10 a.m.
• Rock Terrace School at home – 10 a.m.
• Albert Einstein high School at DAR Constitution Hall – 10 a.m.
• Rockville High School at DAR Constitution Hall – 2:30 p.m.

June 13:

• James Hubert Blake High School at home – 9 a.m.
• Northwood High School at DAR Constitution Hall – 10 a.m.
• Watkins Mill High School at DAR Constitution Hall – 2:30 p.m.

June 14:

• John F. Kennedy High School at DAR Constitution Hall – 10 a.m.
• Thomas S. Wootton High School at DAR Constitution Hall – 2:30 p.m.

Only some commencement speakers have been announced. One of them is Congressman Jamie Raskin who will speak at Kennedy’s graduation, according to the MCPS website.

Eighth grade promotions in the county will also be held without COVID-19 restrictions.
