1. Take Your Child to Work Day: It is the annual Take Your Child to Work Day.
2. Jazz series: At 8 p.m., saxophonist Leigh Pilzer takes the stage at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown. $25 admission. Buy tickets here
3. Brookside Gardens azalea and rhododendron tour: From 1-2:15 p.m., Residents can join a walking tour of Brookside Gardens’ collection of azaleas and rhododendrons in Wheaton, while also learning how to include them in their home gardens. The tour meets at the visitor center entrance at 1800 Glenallan Ave. $12 fee. Register here
4. Recycling: Montgomery Parks and the county are encouraging residents to “recycle right” at parks by properly sorting out recyclables without cross-contamination with trash. See more here
