4. Pike’s Peek 10K: The Pike’s Peek 10K returns Sunday, starting at 7:50 a.m. from Shady Grove Metro to Pike & Rose in North Bethesda. A Kids Fun Run and Toddler Trot also take place at the finish area. Expect rolling closures along Route 355 and Rockville Pike as the race proceeds. Learn more.
5. DMV Waves Music Festival: This free festival returns Saturday with six genre-blending artists from D.C. and Baltimore. Held at The Lounge at Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in the Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus starting at 4 p.m. Free tickets.
