2. County Fair: The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair is back this week through Saturday.
3. Back-to-School Countdown: Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week runs through Saturday. It offers tax breaks on select shoes and clothing.

4. Council: The Montgomery County Council is currently in recess and will not meet today.
5. ICYMI: County leaders cut the ribbon on a new pedestrian bridge in the Kemp Mill area of Silver Spring. The bridge is dedicated to Nicki Toys, a Kemp Mill resident who died from cancer in 2023.
