Today’s topics include grass fields vs. turf fields, Head Start changes from the federal government, and efforts to make sure streets are safe as school begins soon. 3. MoCo Fair Underway: The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair is happening now through Saturday in Gaithersburg. See more here

5. Dance Night in the Barn: From 6-8 p.m. at the bank barn at Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood, dancers of all skill levels can join a night of dancing from swing and ballroom to line dancing and the country two step. $15 fee. Register here
