1. Wootton shooting: A judge ordered that the 16-year-old boy charged in the shooting of a fellow student at Wootton High School remain held without bond in an adult facility. Read more here
2. Extreme cold: An extreme cold alert is in effect for the county until 2 p.m. today.
Montgomery County has issued an Extreme Cold Alert from 5pm Wed., 2/11 to 2pm Fri., 2/13. Expect the wind chill to be below 32 degrees. Wear layers if you go outside. 3. No school Monday: Montgomery County Public Schools are closed Monday for Presidents’ Day.
4. ‘Find Your Better Half’: On Saturday and Sunday, Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center will have a reduced-fee adoption event for dogs that weigh more than 40 pounds. See more here
