1. Butler’s Orchard: It started as a small peach stand in 1950 and is now a destination pick-your-own farm — Butler’s Orchard in Germantown celebrates 75 years in business this year. There was a two-day celebration for the 75th anniversary Saturday and Sunday at the farm. MCM stopped by the event Saturday.

2. United in Service and Support: At 7 p.m. on Zoom, County Councilmember Sidney Katz will host a United in Service and Support community meeting focused on law enforcement resources for eviction, domestic violence, and child support. Zoom link here.

3. Emergency Loans for Former Federal Workers: Gov. Wes Moore recently announced Maryland’s Federal Emergency Loan Program, which provides no-interest loans to recently-terminated federal workers. It’s the latest development in Moore’s efforts to “ensure our federal workers get the support they need.”

5. ICYMI: The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring was voted a top aerial adventure park in the U.S. for 2025. MCM stopped by the park — known for its aerial forest obstacle course in the trees with climbing and zip lines — to learn the ropes.
