1. Council President Briefing: Council President Kate Stewart holds a media briefing at 10:30 a.m. to discuss Council updates and highlight efforts to create a holistic mental health system. She will also discuss the upcoming Council’s upcoming vote on Planning Board candidates to fill one open full-term vacancy.

2. Council Committee Meetings: Two Council committees meet today at 1:30 p.m.:

  • Transportation and Environment in the 2nd Floor Davidson Memorial Hearing room | Agenda.
  • Planning, Housing and Parks in the 7th Floor Hearing Room | Agenda.

3. Mobile Market Monday: The Universities at Shady Grove hosts its Mobile Market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room G318 in the Biomedical Sciences and Engineering Building. Bring grocery bags to collect free food. Volunteers can sign up here. Free parking is available in Lot 2 with a voucher.

4. Municipal Monday: The Maryland Municipal League’s summer conference is underway in Ocean City. As members, Gaithersburg and Rockville will not hold Mayor and Council meetings tonight.
