1. Walk For Life: From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the first annual “Colorectal Cancer Awareness Walk for Life” will happen at Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreational Park on Jackson Road in White Oak. See more here
2. Opioid awareness: On Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 7500 Maple Ave in Takoma Park, residents can join an opioid summit and emergency preparedness fair to learn about opioid awareness and harm reduction. See more here
3. MoComCon: MoComCon — the county library system’s annual comic convention — returns Friday and Saturday in Germantown. See more here
4. Adventure Park opens: The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring officially opens Saturday for the 2026 season. See more here
5. Bike parks open: Montgomery Parks will be opening its bike parks for the season starting Saturday. This includes Wheaton Gravity Park, The Pit at Fairland Bike Park, and the South Germantown Bike Park, according to Montgomery Parks. See more here
