2. Council: The County Council meets at 9:30 a.m. to take action on the operating budget.
3. Council moves forward with progressive income taxes: In a split vote, the Montgomery County Council voted 6-5 Wednesday to move forward with a progressive income tax structure.
4. MCPS looks at personnel loss amid county budget cuts: MCPS Superintendent Thomas Taylor released a video early Tuesday, informing staff that personnel cuts may be coming as the county council struggles with the budget for fiscal year 2027.
