5 Things to Know Today, Oct. 6, In Montgomery County

1. Active Aging Week: Montgomery County celebrates Active Aging Week today through Sunday, Oct. 12. The signature event takes place today from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center. See more here.

2. Boundary Study Meetings: Montgomery County Public Schools boundary study meetings take place today. There are two Zoom sessions for the Charles W. Woodward High School study. One meeting is from 11 a.m.-noon and the second meeting is from noon-1 p.m. See more here.

3. Community Conversation: County Chief Administrative Officer Rich Madaleno hosts a meeting tonight to get input from residents on the next operating budget. This meeting will be for the east county community. It will be 7-8:30 p.m. in the Social Hall at the White Oak Community Recreation Center. See more here.

4. Council Committee: A council committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. today to receive public safety updates. The meeting will be livestreamed on YouTube @MoCoCouncilMD.
