5 Things to Know Today, Sept. 11, In Montgomery County

It’s Thursday, Sept. 11, the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on Americans and below are five things to know about what’s going on in Montgomery County. Check the weather forecast here.

1. Remembrance Ceremony: The City of Rockville marked today’s somber anniversary by honoring county residents who lost their lives with a 9 a.m. ceremony at Courthouse Square Park in the city’s downtown area. Mayor Monique Ashton delivered remarks, following a presentation of colors.

2. Wait Your Turn: More than 200 new “No Right on Red” traffic signs have been put up at busy intersections around the county. Find out more to avoid at $90 ticket here.
