1. Home Sale Prices Decrease in County: The median price of a home that was sold in August in Montgomery County was $619,000, which is a decrease of 2.5% in August of 2024. It is a 6.2% decrease since last month.
2. County’s 250th Anniversary Kickoff: At 1 p.m. at the Council Office Building in Rockville, County Council President Kate Stewart and Montgomery History will host a panel discussion on Montgomery County’s 250th anniversary.

4. Takoma Park City Council: The Takoma Park City Council will hold a meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Takoma Park Community Center. The meeting can be viewed in-person, on YouTube, the City Council video webpage, Facebook, or City TV. See the meeting agenda here.
5. ICYMI: Last week to mark 9/11, Montgomery County firefighters and other participants climbed stairs until they reached the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.
