Reservations Open in May For School and Government Facility Use

Residents who want to reserve public spaces for events, meetings or programs will soon have their chance, as the reservation window opens in early May.

According to the Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF), Thursday, May 1, marks the opening day for two major categories of facility requests. On that date, organizers and community members can begin submitting applications for school auditoriums for the 2025-2026 school year. CUPF will also begin accepting applications for indoor facilities during the summer break.

Later in the month, on Thursday, May 15, reservations open for government building meeting rooms for events scheduled between July 1 and Dec. 31. Facilities include well-known locations such as regional service centers, the Isiah “Ike” Leggett Executive Office Building, Council Office Building, police stations, Clarksburg Cottage and other county government buildings.

Residents can visit the Community Use of Public Facilities website to learn more and find instructions for submitting facility requests.
