Learn How to Trace Your Property’s Past at May 17 Workshop

In honor of Historic Preservation Month, local historians, educators and others will share their knowledge of local and regional buildings in the community.

Residents curious to learn more about the history of where they live are encouraged to attend this lecture, which will cover archival records, land use history, how to build chains of title, available resources, and how residents can develop a historical narrative for their properties.

Speaker Stacy Poulos, Anne Arundel County’s archaeological sites planner, will lead the workshop on Saturday, May 17, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Josiah Henson Museum and Park.

All ages are welcome, but the program is recommended for ages 12 and up.

Admission is $5 per person.
