MCPS Students Design, Build & Sell Home

Students from Thomas Edison High School of Technology and Sherwood High School Academy of Engineering & Technology showed off their home building skills Wednesday night.

The students attend high schools throughout Montgomery County but spend time at one of the two schools of technology where they learn architecture, carpentry, engineering, HVAC, plumbing and masonry skills.

This is the 44th house students in the Construction Trades Foundation program have built.

Many of the students working on this home on O’Fallon Street in Silver Spring graduate soon and another set of students will complete the work by the summer of 2026.
