Parks Launches Summer Season of Playhouse Junior

Montgomery Parks kicks off its summer Parks Playhouse Junior series with live performances from Marsha and the Positrons and Happenstance Theater.

The free, family-friendly shows run mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. and are best suited for children ages 2 to 8.

Marsha and the Positrons open the series with three science-themed concerts:

  • Wednesday, May 28: Falls Road Local Park, Potomac

The Washington, D.C.-based band combines upbeat pop-rock with science lessons and positive messages. Kids are encouraged to sing, dance, and learn.

Happenstance Theater performs Preposterous! on Saturday, May 31, at Cabin John Regional Park in Bethesda.

The performance features vintage clown characters, live music, physical comedy, and a slow-motion pie fight. Learn more.
