Where to Find Fireworks on the 4th of July

Every year, families across the county flock to watch fireworks on Independence Day. This year, Montgomery County Recreation hosts free events in both Boyds and Kensington on Friday, July 4th and Saturday, July 5th.

Fun for the whole family, these celebrations feature live music from local artists and a variety of activities. Lawn chairs, coolers and blankets are permitted, but pets and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.

Germantown Glory (Boyds)

18041 Central Park Circle, Boyds | Friday, July 4th, 7-10 p.m.

Live music performed by the Central City Orchestra starts at 7 p.m.

On-site parking will be available.

Mid-County Sparkles

11135 Newport Mill Road, Kensington (Albert Einstein High School) | Saturday, July 5th, 7-10 p.m.

Live music performed by Downtown Sound starts at 7 p.m.

On-site parking is only available to individuals with disabilities. Otherwise, free event parking starting at 6:30 p.m. is available at the Westfield Wheaton mall (11135 Newport Mill Road, Kensington), with shuttle services to the event location.
