Looking for somewhere to play with the kids? Check out the three new playgrounds recently opened around the County.
Montgomery Parks announced additions to three local parks: brand-new playgrounds. All new grounds include equipment for ages two through five and five through 12.
Silver Spring: Indian Spring Terrace Local Park (9717 Lawndale Drive)
The new Indian Spring Terrace now includes elements like a tree-shaped play structure, “cozy cocoon” spinner and many boulders for sitting and climbing.
Olney: Olney Mill Neighborhood Park (19600 Charline Manor Road)
New additions to Olney Mill include ‘three large play structures’ with elements like slides, spinners and tunnels, along with a ‘crab trap structure’ for climbing.
Wheaton: Valleywood Neighborhood Park (13115 Valleywood Drive)
The refreshed Valleywood now features playful artwork and has two new play structures and a swing set – with an accessible swing – for older kids, among other additions, like a picnic shelter.
All above parks are open from sunrise to sunset.
