2. Student Athletes Premiere Documentary About Pickleball Diplomacy: In April, about 30 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) student-athletes went to China for a 12-day, 3-city pickleball tour. On Saturday, the pickleball team premiered a documentary from the trip. The documentary will be made available to the public on the MCPS YouTube Channel.

4. Former Teacher of Year Named Wootton High Principal: Dr. Joseph Bostic, Jr., who has been Thomas Wootton High School acting principal since December of 2024, was named principal of the school.

5. ICYMI: Swimmers with disabilities have a new option in the county. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Outdoor Pool in White Oak was renovated to make it more accessible. MCM was at the pool to see the new features, including new pool lifts so wheelchair users and others with disabilities can enjoy all areas of the pool.
