MCM is more than a media organization — we are a community resource dedicated to empowering individuals, amplifying local voices, and strengthening connections among residents, nonprofits, and businesses. Our Board members contribute their time, expertise, and passion to help MCM grow as a dynamic hub for media access, innovation, and community representation.

We are seeking dynamic and skilled individuals who are passionate about public service, media, and community building. Ideal candidates bring a diverse range of experiences and perspectives and are eager to serve as ambassadors for MCM. Board members are instrumental in shaping policies, fostering partnerships, supporting fundraising and outreach initiatives, and ensuring that our programs reflect the needs and interests of the Montgomery County community.

Mission Alignment

MCM Board members are expected to actively participate by attending regular Board meetings, serving on committees, and acting as ambassadors for MCM in the community. Board engagement helps strengthen our mission, expand our reach, and ensure effective governance.

Our board has a $1,000 “give or get” annual fundraising expectation. This means each board member is expected to either personally contribute $1,000 per year or help raise that amount through fundraising efforts. Are you comfortable with this expectation?(Required)
