Students Attend First-Ever Transition Day

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) had its first-ever Transition Day to start off the school year. Kindergarteners, third graders, sixth graders, high school freshmen, and students going to a new school were in the building Monday before the official first day of school on Tuesday.

MCM was at Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville for the first Transition Day.

It is a non-instructional full day so students can adjust to their new school. Students meet with teachers and principals and connect with classmates while they get to know their new building.
