Montgomery Community Media Appoints Eric Myers as Board Secretary

Montgomery Community Media (MCM) announced the appointment of Eric Myers, Senior Vice President & Business Banking Team Leader at M&T Bank, as Secretary of its Board of Directors.

Myers, a seasoned banking professional with over 15 years of experience in financial services, leads a high-performing business banking team at M&T Bank, where he supports businesses across Montgomery County in achieving financial success.

“Eric brings both financial expertise and a deep commitment to community service,” said Jasmine White, CEO of Montgomery Community Media. “His leadership and insight will be critical as we continue to strengthen MCM’s role as a hub for local storytelling, civic engagement, and innovation in media.”

Myers has served on the MCM Board since 2019, chairing the Audit Committee and contributing as a member of the Executive Committee. Beyond MCM, his extensive community involvement includes board service with the Damascus Sports Association, the Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce, the Bethesda Rotary Club, the Maryland Energy and Sustainability Co-Op, and Big Learning. He has also served on the Montgomery County Council Grants Advisory Group, where he helped evaluate funding for local nonprofit initiatives.

A graduate of Salisbury University with a degree in Communications and minors in Business Administration and Marketing Management, Myers is passionate about mentorship and small business development. He actively supports emerging entrepreneurs through programs like the Montgomery County Small Business Accelerator and serves as a peer mentor within M&T Bank.
