Gov. Wes Moore appointed District Judge Victor Del Pino to the Montgomery County Circuit Court.
Del Pino has been a district court judge since 2019. Before that, he was a partner at the law firm McGann, Del Pino and Hughes for nine years and also was a prosecutor in Montgomery County for seven years. During that time he served two years as the chief of the Gang Prosecution Unit with the county State’s Attorney’s Office.
He also served two years on the board of trustees of the Maryland Public Defender’s Office.
Del Pino is a lifelong county resident, fluent in Spanish and will begin teaching at Georgetown University School of Law this year.
Moore described the new circuit court judge as “exceptional” and said he has dedicated his life to advancing justice.
