Montgomery County officially ended the Snow Emergency Thursday morning at 7 a.m.
Parking
If you have been parking in a county garage for free, parking fees and enforcement will begin Friday, Jan. 30 at 7 a.m.
Sidewalks
Sidewalk snow-clearing enforcement continues to be paused due to freezing temperatures. The pause will last until Monday, Feb. 2, according to the Department of Housing and Community Affairs. On Monday, temperatures will rise into the thirties which should facilitate shoveling of walkways.
Road Clearing Continues
Snow clearing operations will continue with maintenance of major roadways into tomorrow. To report additional snow removal needs, call 3-1-1. To create an online request go to the Winter Storm Information Portal.
Storm Statistics
By the numbers, the county accumulated up to 11.5 inches of snow in some areas. And as of Thursday morning, cleared more than 5,300 lane miles of snow and ice. The county deployed 550 pieces of equipment operated by 600 active personnel working for more than 70 continuous hours to serve the community.
