A passenger was fatally struck by a Red Line train at the Wheaton Metro station at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
Metro Transit Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene.
Trains single tracked between Glenmont and Forest Glen metro stations for part of the morning, but normal service has returned.
