As the political season heats up and the June 23 primary election approaches, Democratic candidates for Montgomery County Executive headed to Poolesville recently for a town hall discussion hosted by The Fair Access Committee and Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce.
The planned topics on the agenda included everything from data centers to the county’s faltering economy. But the issue that dominated the discussion and appeared to be top of mind for most residents in attendance was the future of White’s Ferry.

The deadline for the two parties to accept the current $3 million dollar offer to reopen White’s Ferry is July 1. That comes just eight days after the primary election.
