3. Lake Tour By Kayak: From 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Black Hill Discovery Center in Boyds, residents can join a leisurely kayak tour of Little Seneca Lake. Basic paddling experience is necessary. $30 fee. Registration required. See more here
4. Art Workshop for Adults and Teens: From 7-9 p.m. at the Wheaton Arts Parade Gallery (11325 Georgia Ave.), residents can participate in an art workshop led by a local professional artist and an artist assistant. All materials provided. $40 fee. Register here
5. ICYMI: Almost six years after White’s Ferry closed over a legal dispute, county leaders announced a plan that they think brings it closer to reopening. Ferry Owner Chuck Kuhn announced he will donate the ferry and sell the property to Montgomery County. The county will purchase the ferry property on the Maryland side for $1.5 million. The hope is that it will make the Virginia government take action.
