A Look Back at 2023: Maryland Legalizes Recreational Cannabis

During the November, 2022 election, Marylander’s overwhelmingly voted to legalize the recreational use of marijuana. Starting July 1 of this year, adults over 21 can legally possess 1.5 ounces of cannabis for personal use.

On Saturday, July 1, Trulieve, a medical cannabis retailer on Rockville Pike, opened its doors to a line of customers. MCM captured this video.
