A juvenile accused of shoplifting in Downtown Silver Spring had a loaded AR pistol in his backpack, according to Montgomery County Police’s Third District commander.
The juvenile is accused of shoplifting in a CVS in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they arrested the young man who attempted to evade the officers. During the arrest, officers found a loaded AR pistol ghost gun with .223 ammunition in his backpack. The gun had no serial numbers.
The juvenile was arrested. The case was sent to the Department of Juvenile Services.
