Assault Charge Against Rockville Councilmember Dropped

An assault charge was dropped against Rockville City Councilmember David E. Myles, who is running for reelection on Nov. 7.

Myles had been charged with second-degree assault in connection with a Sept. 9 incident.

According to Montgomery County Circuit Court records, the charge concerning domestic violence was dismissed at the request of the petitioner. The case is marked closed.

The City of Rockville conducts elections for mayor and council every four years.

Residents can vote by mail or go to city hall or the Thomas Farm Community Center to vote on election day. Residents can vote for one mayoral candidate and six council candidates.
