Kyle Ridley is an Emmy Award winning journalist with more than two decades in print and television. He started freelancing for local papers in high school, specializing in arts and entertainment reporting. After interning at “The Dr. Phil Show” and NBC Los Angeles in college, he returned home to the DC area and worked in government procurement while freelancing as an entertainment reporter.
After several years in government relations, he returned to his journalism roots to focus on local news. Kyle started as a segment producer for WJLA ABC7 and worked his way up to line producing live broadcasts each morning. At WJLA, he produced “Good Morning Washington,” “Outside the Classroom,” “The Pet Show with Dr. Katy,” and created the Emmy winning series, “The Mother Side.” After several years at WJLA, Kyle moved to the top-rated “Good Day DC” at WTTG FOX5, where he won the Emmy for Live Producer of the Year (2025).
Kyle is the founder of Ridley Media and host of “The Tangle with Kyle Ridley” podcast, which won the 2025 SpeakerCon award for New Podcast of the Year. Kyle lives in Maryland with his three rescue dogs.
