Blake’s Oladotun Set for Major Choice

Baba Oladotun is one of the most sought after prep basketball players in the country. The James Hubert Blake High School student-athlete will make his heavily anticipated announcement of what college he will attend to play basketball on November 19. Oladotun has narrowed his list of schools down to four, including the University of Maryland.

The 6’10 Oladotun is the highest ranked player in Maryland and the eighth best prospect in the country according to ESPN. The Silver Spring native began his high school career at powerhouse Dematha Catholic in Hyattsville, MD. But he left after his freshman season to play closer to home. That move has paid major dividends for Oladotun and Blake. He led the team to the Montgomery County title last year and the team finished with a 23-2 record.

Oladotun averaged 22 points 7 rebounds and 3 assists as a sophomore. He reclassified so he will now graduate in 2026.The announcement will not only make big news in Montgomery County but nationally as well. Oladotun also has Georgetown, Arkansas and Kentucky among his final four schools to choose from.
