The Board of Education (BOE) approved the appointment of six new principals at elementary schools throughout Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Thursday.
A thread posted to the official MCPS account on X highlighted each appointee.
The Board of Education approved the following elementary school principal appointments on Thursday, March 7:

Here are the new principals:
- Kilsys Batista – Rock View Elementary
- Iraida A. Bodre-Woods – East Silver Spring Elementary
- Lavina N. Carrillo – Rock Creek Forest Elementary
- Nadia J. Kline-Taylor – Potomac Elementary
- Pamela R. Parker – Montgomery Knolls Elementary
- Stacey F. Rogovoy – North Chevy Chase Elementary
The Board also approved Kelly J. Jiron as the new Specially Designed Instruction administrator within the Department of Special Education Services.
The MCPS careers website still lists principal vacancies at Carderock Springs Elementary and William B. Gibbs, Jr. Elementary.
