Life is just peachy! Bring your friends and family and join your neighbors for a fun-filled summer peach festival at The Terraces at Tuckerman Lane on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In partnership with the Milk Lady Farmers Market, the festival includes fresh peaches (and peach desserts!), summer BBQ, live music, lawn games, vendors, and more. While at the festival, also explore Tuckerman’s beautiful campus, located at 5550 Tuckerman Lane in Rockville.

WALK, CUT & EXPERIENCE THE SUNFLOWERS!

The sunflower Fields at Whitetails Farm in Clarksburg, MD, will reopen August 22 – September 6th.

Walk through acres of sunflowers, cut your own, take incredible photos, catch golden hour and sunset, or simply slow down and enjoy the farm.

The $17 admission (ages 13+) includes access to the sunflower field and CUT-WHAT-YOU-CAN-CARRY-SUNFLOWERS!   There is no stem limit.  Cut as many sunflowers as you can comfortably carry in one trip.

Two giant wooden swings within the flowers create some of our favorite photo spots on the farm.  Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy our shaded picnic area.

Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Event Description: 
Our Annual New Life SDA Church Community Festival & Health Fair is a celebration of community, compassion, and care. Each year, we provide families with fresh produce, school supplies, and whole-person wellness services — completely free of charge. This is all funded using donated funds from our congregation. Held across our church campus, including the parking lot, fellowship hall, and classrooms, every service offered is made possible by our dedicated volunteers. Students are also welcome to volunteer — SSL hours are available for all student volunteers, making this a meaningful way to serve while fulfilling community service requirements. Our goal for this event is serve our community and to make our children feel confident and ready for the school year ahead. We aim to make the return to school fun! 
Registration is free but required for planning purposes. We expect about 250 people; we will provide 125 backpacks and enough produce for 100 families.

Glenn Leonard’s Temptations Revue is the world’s most authentic and talented tribute to the original Temptations today! It’s a dynamic show with 5 vocalists that have all the choreography, personality, talent and style of the originals, including the legendary former lead tenor! Glenn Leonard served as their lead tenor from 1975-83, and recorded 10 albums with the group, including his signature Temptations version of “Silent Night,” which is one of the most played songs on the radio, worldwide, at Christmas time. Glenn also performed and recorded with all of the original members during the famed Temptations Reunion Tour in 1982.   Rounding out this dynamic lineup are Shelton Price, Melvin Franklin, Jr., former Atlantic Records recording artist Kareem Ali, and one of the most powerful voices in the business, Andre Jackson! Alfred Yun is a Korean-American jazz pianist and composer. His music is influenced by his upbringing in both Korea and the United States. You can hear influences ranging from jazz, hip hop, and K-Pop to traditional Korean music in Alfred Yun’s compositions.

Alfred was honored to be chosen by the Music Center At Strathmore as an Artist-in-Residence for the 2023-2024 season. This includes featured concerts at Strathmore’s prestigious AMP club in January and participating in programs throughout the season. In 2026, Alfred Yun was selected to be part of the Jazz and Sonic Arts: Improvised Music Residency at the Banff Centre for Art and Creativity. 

In 2025, Alfred Yun released his album, Voice and Phenomenon, which investigates the different ways we use the voice — gibberish, games, poems, singing, spoken word, laughter, and more. The album invites the listener into an intimate account of these disparate voices and sounds. It is the most personal and revealing work of his career. Voice and Phenomenon was listed on Capital Bop's Top DC Jazz Albums of 2025.

The 2026 NCOS International Orchid Show & Sale is one of the largest orchid shows and sales in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, bringing together 5,000 square feet of orchid displays, vendors and educational programming.
