Gallery B, 7700 Wisconsin Ave E, Bethesda, MD 20814, USA

Painters Kathleen Byrnes and Jennifer Howard exhibit their works at Gallery B in November 2025

Jennifer Howard is a painter and graphic designer who has lived and worked in Washington, DC for over 37 years. Her paintings are about the moment, the immediacy of paint applied honestly, thickly and emotionally on canvas. She strives to convey a textural quality to the surface with layers of color and an emphasis on capturing light.

The exhibition runs from November 6 – November 30. Gallery hours are Thursdays-Saturdays, 12-5pm, and Sundays 11am-2pm. The gallery will be closed November 27-28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Come taste and learn to prepare plant-based recipes as we explore how food choices and food preparation affect our mental, spiritual, and physical well-being and the ethical impact on animals and the environment.

This workshop will include insightful discussions and vegan cuisine will be served.

Naijha Wright-Brown is an award-winning entrepreneur and passionate advocate for holistic living who embodies the balance of inner and outer well-being. Her journey toward veganism began after a high cholesterol diagnosis, when she chose a plant-based lifestyle over medication, an empowering decision that reshaped her health and her life’s mission.

As Managing Partner and Marketing Director of Baltimore’s celebrated Land of Kush Vegan Soul Bistro, Naijha has redefined soul food, proving it can be both flavorful and nourishing. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Black Veg Society, where she works to close health disparities by educating and empowering communities of color about the benefits of veganism and holistic wellness.

Through her digital talk show, Naijha Speaks, she shares practical insights on using food as medicine and living consciously. With an MBA in Business and experience as past Chair of the Restaurant Association of Maryland, Naijha continues to bridge the worlds of business, community, and mindful living—leading with purpose, authenticity, and heart.

Now, the DMV’s reigning musical superstar, Nova Y. Payton (World Goes 'Round), takes on the title role of a musical that churns out laughs, songs, and over-the-top antics as fast as humanly possible…and then goes a little faster. Gallery B, 7700 Wisconsin Ave E, Bethesda, MD 20814, USA

Painters Kathleen Byrnes and Jennifer Howard exhibit their works at Gallery B in November 2025

Kathleen Byrnes has taken to working plein aire, challenging her to work quickly and spontaneously. Byrnes uses the environment to infuse the canvas with mood and emotion.

  • Beyond the Marker: What Does Reconciliation Mean to You?

    November 22, 2025  2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Cultural Arts Center, Montgomery College, 7995 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910, USA

A community town hall event that empowers MoCo residents to define reconciliation for the county. This program features a panel discussion and community breakout sessions to shape how reconciliation shows up in the arts, education, policy, etc.

Reconciliation means many things: restoring broken relationships, healing racial divisions, and addressing past injustices to create a more equitable and harmonious society. It can take the form of a single powerful event or a long-term commitment to bridge-building and mutual understanding. The Montgomery County Commission on Remembrance and Reconciliation (MCCRR) invites you to answer the question:

What does reconciliation mean to YOU? What do you envision reconciliation can and should look like in Montgomery County with the right attention, intention and effort?

Across Montgomery County, individuals, organizations, and communities are taking courageous steps to confront our shared history, heal old wounds, and build bridges toward understanding and unity. We know this work is happening in quiet conversations, community collaborations, classrooms, and kitchens. It is imperative that Montgomery County defines reconciliation efforts for ourselves. Join us at 2pm on Nov 22nd, 2025 at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in Takoma Park/Silver Spring to help shape how reconciliation is enacted in Montgomery County.

There’s never been a more indefatigable figure in American musical theatre, and perhaps that’s why the role has served as a vehicle for some of our greatest stars, from Carol Channing to Barbra Streisand to Bette Middler. Now, the DMV’s reigning musical superstar, Nova Y. Payton (World Goes 'Round), takes on the title role of a musical that churns out laughs, songs, and over-the-top antics as fast as humanly possible…and then goes a little faster. Dolly Gallagher Levi is a woman on the make. And what’s she making? Whatever you need. A husband? A wife? Dance lessons? Pierced ears? There’s never been a more indefatigable figure in American musical theatre, and perhaps that’s why the role has served as a vehicle for some of our greatest stars, from Carol Channing to Barbra Streisand to Bette Middler. Now, the DMV’s reigning musical superstar, Nova Y. Payton (World Goes 'Round), takes on the title role of a musical that churns out laughs, songs, and over-the-top antics as fast as humanly possible…and then goes a little faster. Audiences of all ages are guaranteed a great time at this classic musical about love, second chances, and the magic of an adventure to the big city!

  • Gallery B Presents "Color + Light, Part Two"

    December 7, 2025  11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Gallery B, 7700 Wisconsin Ave E, Bethesda, MD 20814, USA

Painters Kathleen Byrnes and Jennifer Howard exhibit their works at Gallery B in November 2025

Kathleen Byrnes has taken to working plein aire, challenging her to work quickly and spontaneously. Byrnes uses the environment to infuse the canvas with mood and emotion. Working in predominantly oil, Byrnes has produced works that explore the light and structure of urban Washington DC, the Virginia and Maryland country side, as well as the inlets, bay, ocean and marshlands of Southern New Jersey.

305 Main St, Gaithersburg, MD 20878, USA

The Gaithersburg Artist Collective's ever-popular, and much anticipated holiday show, "Treasures of the Season", runs from November 4th, 2025 to January 4th, 2026 at our gallery, Artists on Market.

This year, we started early! Our beautiful, ever-popular holiday exhibit has opened. We know you love to find rare, handmade items by local artists, and you can get a head start on that. We have the perfect items for you, and those whom you want to shop for, so that you can cross items off of your list early.

Jewelry, pottery, little paintings with small price tags, holiday ornaments, hand-poured candles, woodwork, reed diffusers, glass work, bigger splurge items, and much, much more...Things move fast, and we'll restock over the coming weeks, but with many items, once they're gone, they're gone. So make a few trips to see us and get your gift-giving selections taken care of over the coming weeks. In the midst of it all, you get to spend time with some beautiful art, and just contemplate, and enjoy.

If you are not sure what, among our incredible selection of items, to give the art lover in your life, this is the perfect time of year for gift cards. Purchase a gift card today to allow them to choose their own artistic treasure, or sign them up for a class.

Holiday items are arriving daily and as always, gift-wrapping will be available for the holidays for a small donation. A Meet the Artists Reception is planned for November 16th, 5-8pm. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome. We hope to see you!

  • Hello, Dolly!
