Downtown Silver Spring
As of Monday morning, Montgomery County transportation department crews have plowed emergency roads and are working on residential streets, according to the county’s online Winter Storm Information Portal.
Residents can put their address into the portal to see the status of their street. The county does not maintain all streets, but the portal also tells residents who is responsible for their street if it is not the county.
It is estimated to take until Tuesday afternoon to make at least one pass through residential streets.
Residents can also use the portal to find more information like how to submit a snow-related service request.
The county’s snow emergency has been extended through Monday.
