It’s been quite a year for Clarksburg girls flag football coach K.C. Landefeld.
After being named the Washington Commanders‘ Flag Football Coach of the Year, Landefeld is a finalist for the NFL’s Coach of the Year Award. Landefeld is one of the 32 nominees for the Don Shula High School Coach of the Year Award. This honor represents the best in coaching at the high school football level. The winner will be announced by the NFL later this month.
Landefeld has led Clarksburg on a dominant two-year run. The Coyotes have gone 29-1 dating back to 2024 and they won the Class 3A/4A Maryland State Title two years in a row.
