Council Offers United in Service Webinar Thursday, June 26

Montgomery County Council will host a United in Service and Support webinar Thursday, June 26, at 7 p.m. on Zoom. The online session will highlight food programs and community resources available to Montgomery County residents.

Councilmember Gabe Albornoz will lead the discussion with representatives from the Office of Food Systems Resilience, Department of Health and Human Services, Manna Food Center, and MCPS Food and Nutrition Services. County leaders plan to connect residents with local services as families face job insecurity, housing challenges, and rising food needs.

The event is part of the United in Service and Support Online Informational Series, a biweekly webinar hosted by the County Council. The Council launched the series in February 2025 to support federal workers and residents affected by national policy shifts.

Each session features expert panelists who provide tools, programs, and strategies to help residents navigate challenges and access help. Residents may find information on a wide variety of services on the Council’s resource webpage.

The Council encourages residents to submit questions anonymously through an online form or live during the webinar using Zoom’s Q&A feature. Councilmembers and panelists will respond to as many questions as possible during the session.

Organizers recommend joining the meeting at 6:50 p.m. The webinar is available online here. Spanish interpretation will be available.

Viewers can also watch live on County Cable Montgomery or stream it on the Council’s YouTube channel.
