Saturday evening, the U.S. Army will parade up Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. to celebrate its 250th anniversary. It also marks the 79th birthday of President Trump. But some county residents will march to the beat of a different drummer. They are taking the day to protest the policies of the Trump Administration.
The parade will cost an estimated 25 to 45 million dollars. A large portion of that money will go to repairing D. C. streets after heavily armored vehicles travel over them.
No Kings protests will occur in all 50 states and some U.S. territories. No protests will be held in the District of Columbia because organizers emphasize, “real power isn’t staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else.”
