The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) sports a new free mobile app. MD Outdoors now stands as the official app for the outdoor enthusiasts, hunters and anglers.
The new app replaces the AccessDNR app, which will no longer be active.
In June, a new MD Outdoors licensing system went online. Users can purchase hunting and fishing licenses, buy stamps and permits and renew off-road vehicle registration.
You can also use the new app to display your hunting and fishing license and your boat and off-road vehicle registration.
The app also includes:
- Maps and directions to state parks, trails, Wildlife Management Areas, boat launches and water access sites
- State Parks’ activities and amenities by location
- Dates for hunting season
- Fish and shellfish identifier
- Tide timetables
- Hunting, fishing and boating regulation guides
So far this season the new app has been downloaded 230,000 times.
