Detectives Release Images of Wheaton Mall Theft and Assault Suspect

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police 4th District Investigative Section released photos of a woman suspected of stealing items from Dick’s Sporting Goods at Wheaton Mall.

On June 3, around 1 p.m., a woman entered the mall at the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Road and stole items from Dick’s Sporting Goods. When stopped with the stolen merchandise, she displayed a knife and left the scene in a black van.

Police describe the suspect as a Black woman in a red graphic t-shirt, a black hat, black leggings and white shoes. She may also have a tattoo on her inner left forearm.  An image captured shows her carrying multiple bags from the scene.
