Early Voting Runs Through Thursday

It is early voting season for the presidential Primary Election.

MCM stopped by the Silver Spring Civic Building on Tuesday to talk with voters and Dr. Gilberto Zelaya with the county Board of Elections.

Early voting started last week and runs 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. through Thursday. There are 14 early voting centers in the county. Unlike on Election Day, residents can access any center in the county to vote early.

Residents can vote in-person, by mail-in or through a drop-box at various locations. The 58 county drop boxes are open 24/7 and bipartisan election teams retrieve ballots on a daily basis. Tuesday is the last day to request a mail-in ballot.

Primary Election Day is next Tuesday, May 14. Ballot drop boxes are also available through 8 p.m. that day.
