1. It’s The First Day of Spring: Despite the stress and anxiety caused by the coronavirus outbreak, there’s still a reason to smile . Spring has arrived earlier this year making it the earliest in more than 100 years according to The Farmers’ Almanac. Check out the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin or the Kenwood neighborhood in Bethesda.
2. Exclusive Shopping Hours: In an effort to accommodate vulnerable residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, Whole Foods and Target are adjusting their hours of operation. All Whole Foods Markets nationwide will service customers who are 60 and older one hour before opening to the general public. Target will also be designating time for elderly shoppers. 4. Maryland Primary Postponed: Governor Larry Hogan announced that the April 28 Maryland primary election is postponed until June 2 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
