Now open in Montgomery County, Flavor Hive, a popular halal fusion restaurant and food truck very well known for their walking chip bag concept, has officially opened in Rockville.
Amgd Gende, co-founder Flavor Hive, shared the story behind the concept: “It’s not just about the food, it’s about the experience. People bring their culture, their memories, and they create something unique with us. That’s what makes Flavor Hive special.”
Flavor Hive gained popularity on social media for allowing customers to bring their own bag of chips, which is then filled with halal proteins like chicken, beef, or lamb, along with sauces and toppings.
In addition to the signature chip bags, the menu also features rice bowls, loaded fries, and specialty drinks, as well as quesadillas.

Flavor Hive co-owners celebrate their Rockville grand opening.
Flavor Hive’s Rockville opening marks the brand’s first permanent Maryland location with the plan of opening more in the next year.
