
Montgomery County is under a Flood Watch until 8 p.m. Wednesday as the National Weather Service warns of the potential for flash flooding caused by heavy rainfall.
Forecasters expect showers and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and early evening. Some storms may produce intense rainfall of 1 to 2 inches per hour, with isolated areas receiving up to 3 inches in a short period. This could lead to rapid rises in creeks, streams, and poor drainage areas, especially in urban parts of the county.

Emergency officials urge residents to remain alert and prepare for changing conditions. Excess runoff may flood low-lying areas and make roadways impassable.
